Job summary

Hinkle Contracting Company, LLC seeks a skilled maintenance technician to service a fleet of dump trucks and trailers. The role covers heavy‑duty diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and field repairs with a focus on safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, parts replacement, and accurate record keeping. CDL Class A is preferred, weekend/extended hours may be required, and candidates should value teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy‑duty diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and follow manuals, diagrams, and schedules.
• Willingness to work weekends and extended hours.
• CDL Class A preferred but not required initially.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and diagnose defects on trucks and trailers.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment using proper tools.
• Inspect parts for wear and order replacements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and document work performed.
