Descrizione del lavoro

CDOT in Durango seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform field preventive maintenance and shop repairs. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul a wide range of equipment, including large diesel machines, with occasional remote location work and on-call duties.

Requirements include four years in automotive/heavy equipment repair and completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent education. The role offers a robust benefits package, CDL eligibility, and opportunities for career growth within

Competenze

Four years of progressively responsible experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair with at least one year on heavy diesel equipment.
Completion of an apprenticeship or higher level coursework in automotive/heavy equipment mechanics.
Experience must be substantiated within the application materials.

Mansioni

Performs preventative maintenance and annual safety inspections.
Diagnoses and repairs vehicle and equipment malfunctions on major systems.
Overhauls and rebuilds components and equipment.
Uses test equipment to diagnose defects or malfunctions.
Works on 3.5-ton to 15' mower tractors, tractors, loaders, graders, paving machines.
Designs and fabricates parts and tools as needed.
Orders and procures parts and supplies.
Maintains electronic records of repairs and uses CDOT computers for tracking.
