Job summary

Waste Pro in Ohio is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on a fleet of heavy- and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. You will assist drivers, conduct safety checks, and document repairs.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist drivers with Pre/Post trip process.
• Identify visible repairs on vehicles: lights, leaks, body damage.
• Assist/top up fluids: oil, hydraulic, transmission, DEF.
• Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressures.
• Support technicians in repair of lights, wipers, mirrors.
• Understand lubrication charts for waste trucks.

Responsibilities

• Aid drivers in completing daily Post trip and vehicle safety inspections.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Complete lubrication and repair of lubrication points as scheduled.
• Learn brake inspection procedures and document daily.
• Perform basic repairs on Heavy Duty equipment and assorted service trucks.
• Communicate issues to A/B technicians and discuss preventative techniques.
• Complete all paperwork and time/parts documentation accurately.
• Maintain clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA.
• Follow Factory Service Manuals for repairs.
• Maintain high ethics and dependability.
• Follow all safety policies.
