Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems on a fleet of refuse and recycling trucks. This role may involve welding, fabrication and use of diagnostic tools to interpret failure modes.

Florida-based work requires knowledge of OSHA safety rules and the ability to provide guidance to shop technicians. CDL Class B is preferred, with opportunities to advance ASE certifications within 36 months.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, repair and inspect drive trains, engines, transmissions and related systems.
• Provide diagnostic and repair guidance to shop technicians.
• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements and document work accurately.
• Possess or be willing to obtain CDL Class B if required.
• Experience with heavy- and medium-duty fleet maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake and electrical systems.
• Utilize service manuals and vehicle diagnostics equipment for repairs.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and complete paperwork promptly.
• Support teammates and follow maintenance supervisor directions.
• Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with standards.
