Job summary

Waste Pro USA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Tech-B) in Florida to diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of heavy-duty refuse trucks and support equipment. The role includes welding and light fabrication opportunities within a safety-first shop environment.

You will work with diesel, gasoline, and CNG vehicles, leveraging diagnostic tools and manufacturer manuals to ensure safe, reliable operations and timely repair documentation. Competitive pay and benefits accompany strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic inspections and repairs.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and perform accurate repairs.
• Ability to estimate labor time and materials accurately.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on heavy-duty and light-duty trucks.
• Review DVIRs and repair orders and complete repairs.
• Diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify failure modes and perform repairs.
• Follow Factory Service Manuals and manufacturer specs for repairs.
• Perform safety inspections for safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Communicate with managers/drivers about conditions and preventive maintenance.
• Complete repair orders and documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe shop environment per policies.
