Job summary

Alaska Marine Trucking, part of the Lynden family, seeks a Heavy Diesel Technician/Mechanic for the night shift in Juneau, AK. You will maintain heavy-duty equipment, assist with major component swaps, and perform inspections per DOT/FMCSA standards; TWIC may be required.

The night shift hours are 3:00pm to 3:00am Monday through Thursday and include a $3.00/hr. shift differential.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, ie: tractors, trailers, forklifts, etc.
• Assist with major component swaps like hydraulic pumps, engines and transmissions.
• Must be able to apply and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card).
• Perform inspections in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, wet, and/or humid conditions and occasionally works in high, precarious places.
