Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a Project Cost Controller in Tulsa, OK. You will track budgets, job costs, and financial performance, partnering with project managers and operations to keep projects profitable and on track.

The role requires 4-5 years of project accounting experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas environments. You will build and analyze reports in ERP and Excel, support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close, and identify cost variances to drive process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in project accounting, cost control, financial reporting, project controls, or operational finance.
• Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas is required.
• Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including creating reports and financial tracking tools.
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Track project budgets, job costs, and financial performance.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Build reports and spreadsheets from scratch to support project and operational decisions.
• Analyze cost trends, identify variances, and help improve project profitability.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting.
• Partner with project managers, accounting, and operations leadership on active projects.
• Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
• Recommend process improvements that increase reporting accuracy and efficiency.
