Job summary

Hunton Services offers an opportunity as a Heavy Commercial HVAC Technician to support service operations across the Greater Houston area. You will service, repair, start up, and install heavy commercial HVAC equipment, including boilers and chillers, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

5+ years of experience with OEM systems, EPA refrigerant certification, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing Trane and other OEM commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC operations, including airside, waterside, and control systems.
• Experience with boilers and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is a plus.
• Current EPA refrigerant certification.
• Technical certifications or OEM factory training preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile service technology.
• Flexibility to work overtime and varied schedules.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.

What You’ll Do

• Service, repair, start up, and install heavy commercial HVAC equipment, including reciprocating, rotary, and centrifugal chillers across all tonnages
• Troubleshoot and maintain building systems, including ancillary HVAC equipment, cooling towers, controllers, and retrofits
• Perform comprehensive maintenance inspections in line with contract scopes and best practices
• Use your technical knowledge to diagnose system issues, recommend solutions, and deliver quality results
• Build trusted relationships with customers by delivering professional, effective communication and resolving issues proactively
• Comply with all Hunton safety standards, OSHA, and EPA regulations to ensure a safety-first approach in every task
