Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to direct projects up to $15 million, ensuring profitable outcomes through strong budgeting, bidding, and execution. The role requires civil/ construction management expertise and a proven ability to lead teams in a heavy civil environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with estimators, managing schedules, and maintaining safety and quality on site, while building relationships with owners and subcontractors to deliver successful

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments; 5 years paving/dirt/grading.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and controls to establish budget.
• Lead estimating on vertically integrated projects for bid-to-build.
• Manage resources with project team to meet schedule.
• Participate in bid reviews and feasibility; develop bid schedule.
• Plan start-up and kickoff with sponsors and managers.
• Ensure effective communication among project staff for efficiency and safety.
• Maintain proper job controls: quantities, costs, revenue, schedule.
• Build relationships with owners, agencies, and subcontractors.
• Provide accurate construction reports for continuous improvement.
• Run projects at profitability to meet margins.
• Support corporate safety initiatives.
