Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in planning and daily execution of a construction project in Long Beach, CA. You will help manage the schedule, submittal approvals, material deliveries, and budgets to ensure timely completion.

Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering and 3–6 years of heavy civils experience, with strong PC skills and familiarity with CAD and Primavera.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of construction experience preferred, heavy civils experience.
• Experience reviewing submittals and managing project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with planning and daily execution of the construction project.
• Manage submittal approvals and schedules to keep on track.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and control project budgets.
• Conduct preconstruction and progress meetings with subs and owner reps.
• Maintain on-site quality and ensure submittals meet requirements.
• Prepare and distribute change documents and close-out deliverables.
