Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager with planning and daily execution of construction projects in Long Beach, CA. You will help manage budgets, submittals, and schedules while coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

The role requires 3–6 years of construction experience, with heavy civils background preferred, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of construction experience preferred, heavy civils experience preferred.
• Experience organizing people, tools, and equipment to manage multiple activities.
• Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist project management by proactively managing the project budget and expenses.
• Administer owner and subcontractor billings and ensure accurate cash flow.
• Manage submittal data, shop drawings, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Support project administration, meetings, and change proposal coordination.
