Job summary

Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. in Draper, UT is offering a Project Engineer Internship in our Heavy Civil Division. interns will train with Corporate Project Engineers in Heavy Civil, Bridges, and Piling and Shoring, with field and office experiences depending on project needs.

Each intern is paired with a mentor to develop technical and professional skills, with a Summer 2027 schedule (May–August) and 7:00 AM–5:30 PM hours, plus potential nighttime and part-time fall/winter arrangements.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior (highly preferred).
• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Past construction work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in public relations, claims, subcontractor back charges, and force account work.
• Process all documents required to start-up a project as outlined in the project checklist.
• Update and maintain CPM under direction of PM.
• Distribute monthly schedule to field and subcontractors.
• Schedule surveys and inspections for field operations.
• Update and maintain as-built drawings if required.
• Track quantities to ensure accurate payment by Owner.
• Manage change order correspondence and tracking.
