Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer for the Southwest District in Phoenix, AZ and surrounding locations. You will perform engineering work across heavy civil projects, assist in estimating, and support field operations while traveling as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and career development within a global construction leader. You will engage in drawings interpretation, quantity takeoffs, and collaborative planning with project teams.

Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work in the Heavy Civil, Construction Industry.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related degree.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to various cities as business requires.
• Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Assist in preparing work plans, packages, and JHA’s.
• Coordinate field surveying and data collection.
• Assist in scheduling material deliveries and coordinating on-site operations.
• Support cost reporting, change orders, and submittals.
