Job summary

Kiewit is hiring an Entry Level Field Engineer 1 in the Northwest District (Heavy Civil). This role supports field operations across multiple sites on the West Coast and requires travel, a willingness to relocate, and collaboration with engineers and construction teams.

You will assist with drawings, takeoffs, safety reviews, and on-site coordination, with a clear path toward estimating support and career development within the Kiewit family.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in civil/construction-related engineering.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to multiple cities nationally.
• Strong work ethic and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and takeoffs for materials and work.
• Assist in preparing work plans, surveys, and job hazard analyses.
• Coordinate material deliveries and supervise field operations.
• Support engineers with data for submittals and cost tracking.
