Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Office Engineer Intern or Field Intern for the Central District in Colorado. This hands-on internship offers real-world construction management experience across planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and field activities.

You will travel to project sites, support teams, and develop professional skills while supporting safety, ethics, and reliability on site. May–August full-time internship with potential for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergrad/grad in civil engineering, construction management or related.
• Ability to travel or relocate as needed.
• Available to work full-time during the summer (May–August).
• Willingness to work on-site across varied climates.
• Demonstrates ethics, safety mindset, and initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team player.
• Strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist field engineering, planning, cost control, and scheduling.
• Support material procurement and procurement tracking.
• Maintain records of progress, costs, and materials.
• Review plans and quantities to determine material needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite delivery of materials.
