Kiewit’s Central District invites undergraduates or graduates in civil engineering or construction management to join a hands-on internship spanning field engineering, planning, cost control and scheduling. You will gain real-world experience on infrastructure projects with travel as required, typically May–August, for full-time hours and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel or relocate as needed.
• Full-time availability during the summer (approximately May-August).
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Ability to access construction sites in varied climates and environments.
• Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, planning, scheduling, cost control, and material procurement tasks.
• Assist in reviewing plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing.
• Support project teams with documentation, tracking progress and costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite material delivery.
• Maintain records and assist with safety and compliance on-site.
