Job summary

RAWSO Constructors in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an experienced Estimator to support our heavy civil projects. You will prepare estimates, create proposals, track submissions, and help set project cost baselines while coordinating with general contractors, owners, and municipalities.

The successful candidate has at least two years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, reads plans well, and is proficient with HCSS HeavyBid, Planswift, Bluebeam, Building Connected, and Microsoft

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience (heavy civil) in a construction environment.
• Minimum 2 years of college, preferably in a construction related field.
• Experience in heavy civil construction related projects.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Planswift, Microsoft Suite, and Agtek is preferred.
• Open to learn other software applications.
• Ability to read plans.
• A team player who works well with others or independently.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines.
• Organized with the ability to multi-task.Positive attitude.

• Project and job cost setups (project handoff - precon to construction)
• Contract negotiations and redlining
• Establish project schedule baselines
• Onboarding projects, folder and file setups
• Subcontractor and vendor solicitation
• Linear takeoffs
• Earthwork volume takeoffs
• Sales & business development for potential new projects
• Professional communication with general contractors, owners and municipality representatives
• Cooperate and communicate with others in a team environment.
