Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC in Nashville is seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to lead our Civil Precon Department. You will oversee, approve, and present competitive cost estimates for paving projects, influencing our ability to win work and execute projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in civil estimating, a proven bid track record, and strong Excel, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and related tools, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Urgency in submitting complete bids is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil industry.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, paving, grading, etc).
• Proficient in necessary software including Excel, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Lead bid processes for public and private sector projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.

We are searching for an experienced Estimator in Nashville to lead our Civil Precon Department.

As our Senior Civil Estimator - you will oversee, approve & present our competitive cost estimates for all paving projects we perform. Furthermore, Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to win more work and execute on those potential projects -- so We are looking for the Right Person to lead ( and grow) our preconstruction team.
