Job summary

Willmeng Construction, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive bids for complex infrastructure projects in Arizona.

You will analyze blueprints, specs, and proposals to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and estimate labor, material, and equipment costs. You will collaborate with project managers and engineers, review subcontractor quotes, assess risks, and drive value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with estimating software and detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Ability to analyze plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
• Strong bid preparation and cost-technical writing skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving mindset.
• Clear communication and collaboration with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specs, and proposals to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Conduct risk and opportunity assessments to ensure thorough estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirements.
• Prepare and present budgets, cost estimates, and proposals to stakeholders.
• Utilize estimating software to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes.
