Job summary

Colas Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate a range of large construction machines on civil projects. You will perform pre- and post-use inspections, assist crews, and help maintain safe, efficient job sites.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and prior heavy equipment experience. OSHA training is a plus, with medical, dental, and 401(k) benefits available. Applicants must be able to work flexible hours and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment in a construction or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of safe equipment operation practices and jobsite safety requirements.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, and similar equipment per project specs.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections and basic routine maintenance.
• Support crews to complete projects safely and efficiently while following safety procedures.
