Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Horizontal Construction Engineer to operate heavy equipment, clear sites, and prepare runways and roads for construction. You will perform earth leveling, digging, and material handling while supporting engineer missions and civilian career pathways.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires passing a physical exam and meeting legal/moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers and roadgraders to clear and prepare sites for construction.
• Level earth for runways and roadbeds, excavate and move materials.
• Assist in combat engineer missions as needed.
