Job summary

Wagman, Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineer to join our Heavy Civil Team in Virginia. This safety sensitive role requires site work, detailed planning, scheduling, and field coordination to deliver quality projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 0–3 years of related experience, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Heavy Job, Heavy Bid, Viewpoint and OnBase, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
• 0–3 years' experience in civil engineering, highway and bridge construction and field engineering
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and construction software (Heavy Job, Heavy Bid, Viewpoint, OnBase, CAD)

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop detailed work plans with Field Supervision for safe, timely completion with high quality
• Build and maintain 3-week crew schedules and provide CPM schedule updates
• Coordinate with Owner's engineers, inspectors, subcontractors and vendors
• Review shop drawings, RFIs and maintain submittal logs; provide technical support
• Monitor site safety plans and project QA/QC compliance
• Assist with final quantities and project closeout including as-built plans
