Job summary

Bayville-area HVAC company seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to join their field-based team near Bayville, NJ. You will service, maintain, and repair commercial and light industrial systems, including chiller work and crane-lift equipment, on-site.

The role offers competitive pay, bonuses paid multiple times per year, a take-home vehicle with gas/credit card, uniforms and boots, and on-call pay. Typical hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC experience.
• Self-starting and motivated, with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair on commercial and light industrial HVAC systems.

A Day in the Life of an HVAC Technician

In this role, you'll handle commercial and light industrial HVAC service calls, including maintenance work at assisted living facilities, with team support on larger jobs like crane-lift equipment installs. You'll be part of a close-knit crew helping the company work through roughly $4M in active contracts, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role in the field as the ownership team transitions responsibilities in the years ahead.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing service, maintenance, and repair on commercial and light industrial HVAC systems
• Responding to service calls, including at assisted living facilities
• Supporting the team on larger jobs, including chiller work and crane-lift equipment
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed
• Participating in an on-call rotation (currently once every 3 weeks, moving to once every 4 weeks once this role is filled)
• Operating and caring for a take-home company vehicle responsibly
• Work Hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday. On-call currently once every 4 weeks (Friday–Thursday rotation)

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HVAC experience
• Self-starting and motivated, with minimal need for oversight
• Genuine passion for the trade and pride in your work
• Reliable, on-time, and ready to put in the work
• Physically able to work in extreme heat and cold and handle field conditions, including team-based lifting and rigging
• Willingness to complete a brief pre-hire assessment and an in-person meeting with ownership later in the interview process
