Job summary

Bodycote in Rancho Dominguez is seeking an Inspector to perform heat treatment inspections under the Quality Manager, ensuring customer specifications are met and assisting teammates as needed.

Levels indicate growing responsibility, from hands-on testing and blueprint interpretation to mentoring others as a senior technician. This safety-sensitive role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and teamwork in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• This position requires ITAR compliance, US citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, be detail oriented, and possess manual dexterity.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform hardness and other tests and record results as required.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection.
• Perform documentation and process review
• Post inspection packaging
• Complete conformance and related paperwork; perform shop audits/reviews as required.
• Meet all specification requirements per BMS.
• Report any deviation or issue to supervisor.
• Operate safely according to EMS guidelines.
• Handle duties for customer inventory with care.
