Job summary

Bodycote plc in Wichita, KS seeks a Quality Inspector to perform essential tests on heat-treated parts under the direction of the Quality Manager. You will record results, support calibration, and ensure compliance with customer specifications. The role is safety-sensitive, requires reading blueprints, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm. ITAR compliance, attention to detail, and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in heat treating industry or related field preferred.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident per ITAR requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and stand for work.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardness tests and record results accurately.
• Calibrate testing equipment on schedule.
• Conduct audits and weekly probes as required by procedure.
• Complete conformance certificates and related paperwork as needed.
• Ensure orders meet all specification requirements and report deviations.
• Promote safety and maintain good housekeeping.
