Job summary

PDS Defense, Inc. in Fontana, CA is seeking a Heat Treat Operator I to support heat treating of titanium, nickel alloys, stainless steel, and alloys.

The role requires operating furnace controllers, loading/unloading furnaces, and preheating parts for welding or bending. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of related experience, plus forklift certification and the ability to read shop orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 6–12 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret shop order instructions and specifications.
• Forklift certification to OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with heat treat of titanium, nickel alloys, stainless and alloy steels.
• Operate, adjust and maintain furnace controllers.
• Load/unload furnaces and preheat parts for welding or bending.
• Learn hardness inspection and read conversion tables (ASTM E140).
