Job summary

Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is seeking a Heat Tech to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. You will support non-furnace operations such as abrasive blast cleaning and load preparation, with breaks provided during hot AZ summers.

Duties include operating equipment, building heat treat basket loads, using fork trucks safely, maintaining orderly storage, and assisting with furnace operations as needed. This is a 3rd shift role.

Qualifications

• Experience operating processing equipment for heat treatment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long hours.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate applicable machinery or equipment to prepare product for heat treatment process.
• Build heat treat basket loads according to industry standards.
• Operate material handling equipment including fork trucks in compliance with safety requirements
• Break down finished loads
• Maintain orderly storage of fixtures and product bins
• Assist Furnace Operators in loading or unloading of furnaces
• Participate in cleaning the shop area
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times
• Stage material for all plant processes and operations
• Assist Production Lead and be available on call when needed
• Process paperwork with bolt specifications knowledge
• Opportunity for training as Furnace Operator
• Must be available for other shifts and weekends when training or coverage is required.
