Job summary

McWilliams Forge Company in Rockaway, NJ is seeking a Heat Treat Helper to support the Heat Treat department. The role involves loading, quenching, and assisting with tempering of metal parts, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Ideal candidates have good eye-hand coordination and basic math skills, along with English proficiency to follow instructions. Overtime, weekend work, and multi-department support are expected in this hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Good eye and hand coordination required.
• Basic math skills for calculations used in production.
• Proficiency in English to understand instructions.
• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist shift lead with hardening or tempering procedures.
• Load/unload parts and verify counts per work orders and instructions.
• Perform TPM and minor equipment maintenance.
• Follow supervision instructions and report discrepancies.
• Be flexible to assist other departments as needed.
