Job summary

McWilliams Forge Company in Rockaway, NJ, seeks a Heat Treat Helper to support the Heat Treat department. The role involves loading and unloading parts, quenching, and following procedures to ensure proper hardness and tempering.

Qualifications

• Able to speak, read and write English to understand instructions.
• Be available for overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Comfortable in environment with temperature swings (hot or cold).

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and verify quantity of parts per work order documentation and job instructions.
• Quench heated parts in liquid baths (oil or water).
• Perform TPM maintenance on equipment.
• Follow verbal and written instructions from supervision.
• Report any heat treat discrepancies to Heat Treat Lead.
• Assist in multiple departments as needed.
• Perform basic math for addition, subtraction, and time calculations.
