Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg. Co. is seeking a heat-treating technician for the 3rd shift, with training on the 1st shift to ensure a smooth handover.

The role requires knowledge of heat treating processes and equipment, ability to read technical blueprints, and meticulous record-keeping on a fast-paced production floor. The job involves lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing PPE; it is a safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

THIS POSITION IS FOR 3RD SHIFT - Training is on 1st Shift!

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Operate heat treating equipment to harden and temper steel parts.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure the quality of the finished product
  • Conduct tests to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Monitor equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Work Environment

-Primary work environment is the production floor.

  • Secondary work environment is the office.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift.
  • Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns.
  • While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Occasion stooping and walking will be required.
