Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg. Co. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a 3rd shift heat-treat technician to harden and temper steel parts, following procedures to ensure product quality.

You will test parts, read blueprints, and maintain a safe, clean work environment on the production floor, with training on first shift.

This safety-sensitive role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team, with strict compliance to drug-free policies.

Qualifications

THIS POSITION IS FOR 3RD SHIFT - Training is on 1st Shift!

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Operate heat treating equipment to harden and temper steel parts
• Follow established procedures to ensure the quality of the finished product
• Conduct tests to ensure parts meet specifications
• Monitor equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Safety Sensitive Position
• MTI Training a PLUS

Work Environment

• Primary work environment is the production floor
• Secondary work environment is the office
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift
• Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns
• While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Occasion stooping and walking will be required
