Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg. is seeking a CNC operator for the 2nd shift. You will operate CNC machines to produce high-quality fasteners, set up and calibrate equipment, and ensure parts meet precise specifications.

The role requires reading technical drawings, using measuring tools, and maintaining strict quality control. A safety-conscious mindset and ability to work on the production floor are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce fasteners.
• Set up and calibrate machines per specs.
• Monitor drilling, turning, knurling, and thread chasing for conformance.
• Inspect finished products against quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machine-related issues and adjust controls as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Document shift activities and communicate any irregularities to next shift.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

THIS IS FOR 2ND SHIFT ONLY POSITION!

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality fasteners
• Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related problems
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

• Other duties as needed or required

Work Environment:

The primary work environment is the production floor. Secondary work environment is the office.

• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the entire shift.
• Ability to be aware of surroundings for safety concerns.
• While performing duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Occasion stooping and walking will be required.
