Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. KRS Division dba Kaydon Ring & Seal (KRS) seeks a Heat Treat Engineer to support Quality, Leadership, Maintenance, and Manufacturing Engineering in maintaining furnaces and processes.

The role requires hands-on collaboration with operators to ensure furnaces run properly. Responsibilities include interpreting complex specs, coordinating with vendors, investigating failures to determine root causes and corrective actions, and supporting continuous

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field with 3+ years in a processing engineering role
• US Person required to comply with ITAR regulations
• Exposure to NADCAP and heat-treat processes and quench methods
• Ability to read complex specifications and ensure process adherence
• Effective interaction with all levels of the organization and customers

Responsibilities

• Read complex specifications and ensure process adherence
• Communicate with vendors
• Investigate heat-treat equipment failures to determine root cause and corrective actions
• Maintain high-performing assets and processes with cross-functional teams
• Identify failure modes and develop counteractions
• Recommend critical spare parts and PMs/TPMs
• Develop and update technical work instructions
• Maintain audit-quality records
• Engage in continuous improvement projects
• Research new technologies and processes
• Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
