Bodycote, based in Camas, WA, seeks a Process Engineer to support heat treatment operations under the Quality Manager. You will ensure customer specifications are met and assist team members as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, process improvement, and strong interaction with customers and internal teams. A Bachelor’s in engineering or metallurgy is preferred; ITAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Requires ITAR compliance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Metallurgy preferred, or HS diploma with 5+ years’ heat treat/thermal processing experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in thermal processing including metallurgy and commercial heat treatment.
• Ability to read blueprints; GD&T preferred; strong math background.

Responsabilités

• Identify and address conditions affecting product quality; initiate corrective actions.
• Evaluate and monitor heat treat/HIP processes; perform SPC, RCCA, DOE analyses to improve efficiency.
• Own projects to implement sitewide strategic initiatives.
• Maintain shop travelers and tech cards with customer specs and Bodycote Quality System.
• Interface with customers to clarify services and orders.
• Maintain and update quality system files and specifications.
