Job summary

NSK Corporation in Liberty, Indiana is seeking a Heat Treat Engineer to design, oversee, and optimize heat-treatment processes for improved material properties. The role emphasizes precise temperature control, process documentation, and collaboration with production teams to meet safety, quality, and productivity objectives.

The engineer will oversee audits (CQI-9), train operators, manage HT tooling, and coordinate maintenance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
• Experience with heat-treatment processes is desirable
• Knowledge of CQI-9 audit requirements is a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor production plans daily, weekly and monthly for compliance
• Coordinate team meetings and provide operator training
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance on furnaces
• Lead audits and manage nonconformities and observations
• Develop and implement machine and process improvements
• Prepare reports and manage HT tooling and CAPEX budget
