Ahead, LLC is hiring a Heat Seal Lead in New Bedford, MA. This role oversees the heat seal team to meet production and quality standards, and ensures press operators have correct components for each order. Coordination with the command center, customer service, and creative teams is required to resolve order issues.

Schedule is 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed (Saturday mornings). Location: 270 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $20.00 To $24.72 Hourly

The Heat Seal Lead is responsible for overseeing the heat seal team area to ensure they are meeting and exceeding company standards for production and quality. The HS Lead is also responsible for ensuring that the press operator is fully equipped with the correct components for each order. They will work with the command center to ensure that the press operators have enough work at each stations. They will also work with customer service and creative departments to address order issues.

SCHEDULE - 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7 am-noon) as required

LOCATION: 270 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate to the command center when the production area needs orders
• Assist operators with order/machine issues
• Observe and correct heat-seal team members' bad habits
• Report any heat press issues to technical services
• Key in dings into the reporting system
• Ensure the team members are processing orders within the first ten minutes of the shift
• Ensure the team members are processing orders up to 10 minutes before the end of the shift
• Deliver any logo issues to the creative department
• Deliver any order issues to the customer service department
• Assist team members with any task that is needed
• Motivate and interact with the heat seal area team members and management
• Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED
• Manufacturing experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed

VISION REQUIREMENTS:

• Close and distance vision

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Exposure to moderate noise level.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Closed-toe footwear is required when entering the Production Floor.
