St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage daily patient flow for assigned physicians and anticipate needs during visits across multiple clinics.

Candidates must hold an MA certification and BLS, with knowledge of ICD-10 and EMR systems, and uphold HIPAA standards while delivering compassionate care.

This role involves travel between clinics within Central Oregon as part of a busy outpatient team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or current Oregon licensure as an EMT/LPN/RN/AT required.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Responsabilités

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares for physician assessment.
• Records and maintains patient medical data in the medical chart.
• Assists physician with phone requests from patients and other medical professionals.
• Performs physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excludes IV medications).
• Maintains equipment and supplies inventory levels.
• Upholds the organization’s vision, mission, and values; supports Lean principles.
• Provides safe, confidential patient care and reports any violations of rules as needed.
