Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow across multiple departments in Central Oregon. The MA collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure efficient patient care and accurate documentation, while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with preferred MA program completion and current certification. Relocation assistance is offered for eligible candidates, with a focus on in-state or out-of-state

Qualifications

• Requires basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions and procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and support physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient data in charts.
• Assist physicians with patient calls and staff requests.
• Perform physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excluding IV medications).
• Maintain equipment and supply inventories.
• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care and uphold organizational values.
