Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon, is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Heart & Lung Specialist team. The MA will manage daily patient flow, assist physicians, and handle data entry and triage to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or Oregon licensure as EMT/LPN/RN/AT; BLS certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares for physician assessment.
• Records and maintains patient medical data in the chart.
• Assists physician with phone requests and coordination with staff and outside providers.
• Performs ancillary and/or surgical procedures as requested (not including IV meds).
• Maintains equipment and supplies inventory; supports a safe clinical environment.
• Upholds organizational values, Lean principles, and HIPAA compliance in all duties.
