Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Georgia seeks a Patient Care Technician/Unit Assistant to provide clerical and patient-facing support, assist with basic care, and ensure smooth unit operations.

Under RN supervision, you will interact with adolescent to geriatric patients, maintain records, manage supplies, and respond to calls, ensuring safety and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• CNA certification preferred; PCT Academy may enroll those without CNA.
• Able to operate EMR and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report patient vital signs.
• Assist with ADL and basic nursing tasks under supervision.
• Maintain patient records and unit supplies.
• Answer call lights promptly; relay requests to staff.
• Ensure patient safety and comply with hygiene policies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other departments.
