Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a patient care support professional to provide a wide range of clerical and patient care services in the assigned unit. You will work under the direction of a registered nurse and support adolescent to geriatric patients, ensuring timely communication and care coordination.

The role focuses on maintaining records, assisting with daily activities, and participating in patient safety and safe environment practices as outlined by NGHS policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or transcript showing completion of at least sophomore year.
• Nursing students who have completed Foundations of Nursing are eligible without previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and reports basic patient physiological data (vital signs, weight, etc.).
• Maintains patient records, unit supplies, and equipment.
• Operates the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Performs patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Performs unit/bedside tasks and responds to patient needs promptly.
