Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Cardiologist (Heart Failure Specialist) in Indiana for a full-time, permanent role. The position features a target compensation of $550,000–$650,000+ base, plus wRVU incentives and a negotiable sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient heart failure management, advanced therapies, remote monitoring, and leadership of NPs/PAs within a collaborative team. Flexible sign-on options and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
• Fellowship training or specialized focus in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology.
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease; BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure.
• Active or eligible for state medical license, DEA, and state controlled substance registrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive heart failure management across inpatient consult services and outpatient heart failure clinic settings.
• Diagnose and treat complex cardiomyopathies and advanced stage heart failure using guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) and modern clinical protocols.
• Manage outpatient IV diuretic administration and utilize remote hemodynamic monitoring technologies to adjust treatment plans and prevent decompensation.
• Perform diagnostic workups including echocardiography, nuclear imaging, and diagnostic right heart catheterizations.
• Provide physician oversight and guidance for Heart Failure Advanced Practice Providers within a collaborative practice model.
• Partner with Structural Heart teams (TAVR/mitral repair), Electrophysiology (CRT/ICD), Cardiac Rehab, Palliative Care, Dietitians, and Social Work to deliver holistic patient care.
• Lead health system initiatives focused on readmission reduction, GDMT optimization, clinical pathway implementation, and quality metric tracking.
• Work with general cardiologists, primary care providers, and hospitalists to streamline referral care pathways.

Education
