Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. seeks a Cardiologist (Heart Failure Specialist) to lead inpatient and outpatient heart failure care in Indiana.

This full-time permanent role offers a base salary aligned with MGMA benchmarks, comprehensive benefits, and an emphasis on GDMT protocols and advanced therapies. You will supervise Heart Failure NPs/PAs, collaborate with Structural Heart and EP teams, and drive quality initiatives while engaging with a broad referral network.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship.
• Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology.
• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease; BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive heart failure management across inpatient consult services and outpatient heart failure clinic settings.
• Diagnose and treat complex cardiomyopathies and advanced heart failure using GDMT and modern clinical protocols.
• Manage outpatient IV diuretic administration and utilize remote hemodynamic monitoring technologies to proactively adjust treatment plans and prevent acute decompensation.
• Perform diagnostic workups including echocardiography, nuclear imaging, and diagnostic right heart catheterizations.
• Provide physician oversight and guidance for Heart Failure Advanced Practice Providers within a collaborative practice model.
• Partner with Structural Heart teams, Electrophysiology, Cardiac Rehab, Palliative Care, Dietitians, and Social Work to deliver holistic patient care.
• Lead health system initiatives focused on readmission reduction, GDMT optimization, clinical pathway implementation, and quality metric tracking.
• Work collaboratively with general cardiologists, primary care providers, and hospitalists to streamline referral care pathways.

Education
