Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to perform advanced interventional imaging under physician supervision, ensuring patient safety and team efficiency.

Requirements include ARRT-R, MRT, BLS, ACLS, RCIS or LMRT within 18 months, and prior cath lab/interventional radiology experience preferred. On-call duties and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• Valid licenses/certifications for cardiac imaging as listed.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire.
• Experience in interventional radiology or cath lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and related imaging procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Document hemodynamic data and monitor patient status.
• Ensure radiation safety and optimize fluoroscopic visualization.
• Review orders, screen for contrast allergies, and discuss urgent findings.
• Interview patient and obtain relevant medical history.
• Support with scheduling exams and on-call duties.
• Train new hires and students.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
