Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to support a leading cardiac team in a cath lab setting. This contract role demands expertise in interventional imaging, fluoroscopy, and strict adherence to sterile and radiation safety protocols.

The technician will assist during cardiac catheterization and angioplasty, prepare sterile rooms, monitor patient status, and ensure accurate imaging data capture and archiving. Collaborative, emergency-ready professionals are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS) preferred.
• Experience in a hospital cath lab or interventional radiology environment.
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems.
• Strong sterile techniques, patient safety, and radiation protection knowledge.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Capable of responding quickly during emergency cardiac interventions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain imaging tech to assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and other interventional procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms with sterile equipment and supplies.
• Monitor vital signs and comfort; communicate with patients and healthcare team.
• Capture, process, and archive imaging data for diagnostics and recordkeeping.
• Adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards.
• Support the cath lab team in procedural and post-procedural patient care.
