Job summary

Northland Hearing Centers, Inc. is hiring a Hearing Instrument Specialist Trainee in Tucson, AZ. The trainee will be trained in hearing aid fittings, service/repairs, diagnostic testing, and sales, with remote services via TeleHear.

Minimum education includes high school; a college degree or equivalent healthcare/technical experience is preferred. Prior sales or hearing industry background is a plus, with sponsorship for licensure support.

Qualifications

• High school required; college degree preferred or equivalent work history in a healthcare or technical field.
• Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences/Communication Disorders ideal.
• 1+ years of Sales experience preferred and/or background in medical or hearing aid industry.
• Knowledge of the hearing aid industry is a plus.
• Ability to organize and execute a plan; strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with online computer systems and programs; public speaking experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Patient Journey counselling and instruction.
• Complete requirements for state temporary license.
• Learn to conduct patient diagnostics and fittings.
• Train with licensed specialists and travel as needed for practicum hours.
• Learn to conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and recommend solutions.
• Become proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing hearing instruments.
• Train with TeleHear tools for remote patient care.
