Job summary

Starkey Retail is seeking a Hearing Instrument Sales Specialist Trainee to train across hearing aid fittings, service/repairs and sales, with patient counseling and a focus on the Patient Journey. The role includes remote patient services via TeleHear and sponsorship to obtain dispensing licensure, with potential travel for practicum hours.

You will learn product programming, diagnostic assessments, and sales techniques under licensed specialists, preparing you to serve patients across multiple

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent work history in healthcare or technical field.
• Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences/Communication Disorders ideal.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient counseling and instruction to deliver the Patient Journey Experience.
• Learn to conduct patient diagnostics and comprehensive hearing evaluations.
• Train with licensed specialists; may travel to other locations for practicum hours.
• Learn Starkey product line and programming of hearing instruments; travel to Starkey trainings may be required.
• Work with patients via TeleHear and learn to use TEAMS, VSEE and GoTo Meeting for remote fittings.
• Support the TeleHear tools for remote patient care and service.
• Participate in eligibility for temporary state licenses and sponsorship for licensure.
