Job summary

Starkey Retail, a unit of Northland Hearing Centers, Inc., seeks a Hearing Instrument Sales Specialist Trainee to be trained in fittings, service, repairs, and sales, including TeleHear remote services. The trainee will complete requirements for a dispensing license and receive sponsorship for licensure.

The program includes mentoring, shadowing, and potential travel to other locations, with a focus on Patient Journey experience and driving patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school required; college degree preferred or equivalent work history in a healthcare or technical field; Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences/Communication Disorders ideal.

Responsibilities

• Provide Patient Journey counseling and instruction.
• Learn to conduct patient diagnostics and comprehensive hearing evaluations.
• Train with licensed specialists and may travel to other regions.
• Learn Starkey product line and programming; travel to Starkey training events as needed.
• Support TeleHear services and remote patient care.
