Job summary

Starkey Retail is seeking a Hearing Instrument Sales Specialist Trainee to train across fittings, service, repairs, and sales, with patient counseling and aural rehabilitation at the core. The role includes preparing for dispensing licensure and TeleHear-based remote services.

Trainees work with sponsors, shadow practitioners, and may travel for practicum hours, with Starkey funding the licensing process as part of the program. Aiming for a licensed professional is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent work history in healthcare or technical field.
• 1+ years of Sales experience preferred and/or background in medical or hearing aid industry.
• Knowledge of the hearing aid industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Patient Journey Experience through counseling and instruction.
• Learn to conduct patient diagnostics and comprehensive hearing evaluations.
• Train in fitting, servicing, and sales of hearing instruments and accessories.
• Develop skills for remote patient care via TeleHear and related tools.
• Collaborate with licensed specialists to complete practicum hours and travel as needed.
