Job summary

MED-EL is seeking a Surgical Account Manager for the Southwest region, with primary focus on Phoenix and Tucson markets. This field-based role blends medical device sales, strategic account management, and hands-on surgical support, traveling 50% or more across the Southwest to support implants and procedures.

You will build relationships with surgeons, audiologists, hospital teams, and healthcare professionals, drive regional growth, and coordinate account strategies with the regional team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in surgical/clinical support, hearing healthcare, audiology, or related field.
• Ability to establish credibility with surgeons and healthcare professionals in clinical/operating room settings.
• Ability to independently manage a geographically dispersed territory and multiple accounts.
• Strong technology and CRM skills.
• Willingness to travel 50% or more across the Southwest including AZ.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop customer relationships across the Southwest sales territory, with significant activity in Arizona.
• Achieve regional sales goals and identify new business opportunities that drive territory growth.
• Develop and execute account strategies in partnership with the Regional Director and Southwest regional team.
• Build trusted relationships with surgeons, audiologists, operating room teams, hospital leadership, purchasing departments, and other key decision-makers.
• Provide hands-on support for hearing implant surgical procedures throughout the territory.
• Serve as an expert resource to surgeons and operating room teams regarding MED-EL products, technology, instrumentation, and surgical applications.
• Provide product demonstrations and training to surgeons, audiologists, OR personnel, physicians-in-training, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate product availability, implant selection, ordering, delivery, and surgical case coverage.
• Maintain accurate account, contact, market share, activity, and relationship information in the company CRM.
• Gather market intelligence and account data to support Southwest territory planning.
